Abstract
ABSTRACT: During the Late Middle Ages, the epigraphic habitus and its functionality underwent a significant change as it was transformed into a propagandistic instrument at the service of royal power. A good part of these inscriptions were located in spaces associated with the Castilian monarchy, developing an epigraphic program oriented to the royal representation and the promotion of its political enterprises. During the reigns of Alfonso X, Alfonso XI and Pedro I, there was an increase in the production of exposed writings, showing discursive lines that contributed to the creation of ideological and political foundations.
