Pandemia y cansancio en la sociedad neoliberal del rendimiento

Abstract

Según mi hipótesis de partida, la pandemia puede ser entendida como una «piedra de toque» del neoliberalismo, en la medida en que no solo agota a los contagiados, sino que también hace lo propio con toda la población en su conjunto. El cometido del presente trabajo es probar el alcance de esta hipótesis en el horizonte de la «sociedad del rendimiento», con el objeto de poner de manifiesto sus efectos depresógenos en el «mundo de la vida». Ahora bien, a pesar del influjo ejercido por el teletrabajo a este respecto, el imperativo del rendimiento alcanza su eco funesto en el «mundo de la vida», trascendiendo la esfera laboral propiamente dicha.

According to my starting hypothesis, the pandemic can be understood as a «touchstone» of neoliberalism, insofar as it not only exhausts the infected, but also does the same with the entire population as a whole. The purpose of this work is to test the scope of this hypothesis on the horizon of the «performance society», in order to reveal its depresogenic effects in the «life world». However, despite the influence exerted by teleworking in this regard, the imperative of performance reaches its dire echo in the «life world», transcending the sphere of work itself.
