Abstract
En un mundo que ha demostrado ser muy diverso, la educación inclusiva se presenta como una forma de enfrentar esta realidad. La educación en Ecuador estuvo por mucho tiempo relegada. Actualmente el país pasa por una fase de transformaciones sociales, políticas y económicas. La educación es parte de este cambio y esto se manifiesta en su nuevo marco legal. A través del análisis de la normativa, entrevistas y datos sociológicos obtenidos de fuentes secundarias se constató la presencia de los principios de las buenas prácticas de la educación inclusiva en las políticas y la cultura educativa del país, pero también se evidenciaron las resistencias del sistema educativo actual al mantener posturas integradoras para dar respuesta a las necesidades educativas especiales.
In a world that has proven to be very diverse, inclusive education is acknowledge as a way to face this reality. Ecuador´s education has been left behind for a long time. Currently the country is going through a phase of social, political and economic transformation. Education is part of this change and this is shown in its new legal framework. The presence of inclusive education´s principles have been discovered in the county´s laws and educational culture of the country through the analysis of the new legal frame, sociological interviews and data obtained from secondary sources confirmed, but this has also showed the resistance of the current education system to meet special educational needs by maintain integrative positions.
