Retórica, poética y poesía en Antonio Llull: La elegía por Philibert de Rye

Abstract

El 13 de julio de 1556 moría Philibert de Rye, obispo de Ginebra. Un grupo de eruditos relacionados con la Univer sidad de Dola, le tributó un homenaje literario, entre cuyos textos destacamos una elegía dialogada, desarrolla da en dísticos elegiacos, obra del humanista Antonio Llull, texto que no recoge ninguno de los repertorios de la producción de este tratadista mallorquín. En este artí culo, estudiaremos este poema por primera vez, tanto en lo referente a sus fuentes y sus antecedentes literarios, como a la luz de los tratados de Llull Progymnasmata Re torica (1550/1551/1572) y De oratione libri septem (1558)
