Abstract
Between texts and contexts: essays on contemporary Spanish philosophy is a selection of texts by various authors, moved by a double guiding force. On the one hand, the volume brings together a series of works that reflect on currents, authors, movements and trends relevant to understanding contemporary Spanish philosophy, from its genesis – which we can locate at the dawn of the 19th century – to the date of the copy that the reader has in his hands. The book offers a different approach, however, than the classic manual. This is where the second guiding force intervenes: the texts are an x-ray of philosophy in Spanish “on the move.” The chapters that make up the work, far from being shown as conclusions, have the desire to mobilize intelligence in the Spanish language to rethink about the topics offered, about the works analyzed and about the authors studied.
