dc.description.abstractThe formation of the Spanish Central System is a adscribed to an intracontinental shear zone whose activity implies rotation of blocks within areas of intense deformation. This model of distributed deformation explains the fragmented shape of the relief and can be referred to the intraplate deformation of Iberia.
