Abstract
Luisa de Valdés is a fairly unknown painter in Baroque Seville, always overshadowed by her father's workshop. A review of her work as a polychromator of sculptures and illustrator in a gender studies key is presented, in the light of the few testimonies we have. The “Ejecutoria de nobleza” of Fernando de Villegas, Marqués de Paradas, painted by Luisa with her brother Lucas de Valdés, is presented here. This document painted in the context of the purchase of titles in the reign of Carlos II is studied due to the desire for ennoblement of Sevillian merchants who had enriched themselves thanks to the positions they occupied in the administration
