Formatos, géneros y mundos posibles poéticos: Taxonomía para el estudio de la serialidad audiovisual

Abstract

Este artículo examina el estado del arte en cuanto a los conceptos de género y formato narrativo, demostrando la laxitud del primero y justificando la viabilidad analítica del segundo. Propone una herramienta de 12 parámetros para la taxonomía de formatos de ficción audiovisual serializada. La aplicación de esta herramienta en estudios de caso, que también examinarán las estructuras argumentales, ayudará a identificar los determinantes (posibilidades y limitaciones) que ciertas variables de producción, inicialmente consideradas meramente técnicas o formales, imponen al desarrollo del contenido. Esto incluye las narrativas y el mundo poético posible en el que se desenvuelven.This article examines the state of the art regarding narrative genre and format concepts, demonstrating the laxity of the former and justifying the analytical practicality of the latter. It proposes a 12-parameter tool for taxonomizing serialized audiovisual fiction formats. The application of this tool in case studies, which will also examine plot structures, will help identify the determinants (possibilities and limitations) that certain production variables, initially considered merely technical or formal, impose on content development. This includes the narratives and the poetic possible-world in which they unfold.
