Abstract
In today’s society, attention to diversity is a fundamental pillar for the construction of inclusive educational environments that meet the needs and potential of all students. In a world that increasingly values creativity and the ability to adapt, it is essential to understand how these qualities can be fostered from primary education, especially among students with high intellectual abilities. At the same time, creativity is a key skill that must be considered in education due to its adaptive nature, which allows students to face the challenges of a constantly changing and increasingly more complex society. This thesis explores the relationship between giftedness and creativity in the context of inclusive education, with the aim to design pedagogical strategies that support the holistic development of highly gifted and talented students. The study, which follows a quantitative and cross-sectional approach, involved 160 students between the ages of 6 and 12 with indicators of high intellectual ability, regardless of whether they had a formal diagnosis, and, is based on the observations of 125 education professionals. Data was collected using the Teacher Observation Scale for Giftedness (EOSP) by Martínez-Otero et al. (2020) and the Creativity Observation Scale (EOC), the latter being specifically developed to evaluate creativity in educational contexts. Both scales were validated, with the EOC standing out as an innovative tool for measuring three types of creativity (visual-motor, linguistic, and applied), based on indicators of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration...
