dc.description.abstractThe effect of the radiation reaction on the motion of an extended classical charged particle in a magnetic field is investigated. The expression of the self-torque is obtained and it is shown that there are radiationless self-sustained oscillations but no runaways. An application is made to the Hydrogen atom.
