El erotismo en «Cegador»: infancia, ciudad, madre

Abstract

RESUMEN: En «Cegador», primer volumen de la trilogía «Orbitor» de Mircea Cărtărescu, el erotismo, además de a través de múltiples digresiones, se manifiesta fundamentalmente por medio de tres aspectos clave que este artículo tratará de analizar: la ciudad, la madre y la infancia. La ciudad, no solo como marco en que el protagonista despierta a la sexualidad, sino también como organismo vivo capaz de provocar el deseo erótico; la madre, en tanto que el ser más cercano y más querido hacia quien en primera instancia se inclinan dichos instintos; y, por último, la infancia, período vital fundamental en donde el fenómeno anterior, así como las primeras manifestaciones eróticas, tienen su germen.ABSTRACT: In “Cegador”, the first volume of “Orbitor” trilogy, by Mircea Cartarescu, eroticism is revealed by means of three key aspects, that this article analyzes: city, mother and childhood. The city is a frame where the protagonist discovers the sexuality and it’s also an alive organism capable of provoking erotic desire. The mother, who is the closest person and the most beloved one during the first years of his life, is the target of that desire. Finally, the childhood is the period when these feelings appear.
