Impulsando el talento femenino: nuevas directoras en el cine español del siglo XXI

Abstract

El cine español es una industria masculinizada donde el porcentaje de mujeres profesionales es muy bajo. Aunque las cifras presentan una importante brecha de género, en la última década se aprecian cambios positivos. En la presente investigación se analizan los factores que han permitido estos cambios en la industria del cine español. Se ofrecerán datos que avalen la eficacia de las medidas de discriminación positiva y de cuotas establecidas en la Ley de Cine desde 2017 y se dará cuenta de otras políticas e iniciativas tanto públicas como privadas que tratan de potenciar la creatividad femenina en el cine español.

Spanish cinema is a masculinized industry where the percentage of professional women is very low. Although the figures show a significant gender gap, positive changes have been seen in the last decade. This research analyzes the factors that have allowed these changes in the Spanish film industry. Data will be offered that support the effectiveness of positive discrimination measures and quotas established in the Film Law since 2017 and other policies and initiatives, both public and private, that try to promote female creativity in Spanish cinema will be reported.
