Abstract
In this paper we will discuss the question of the human diversity and economic behavior in the thought of classical economists. We will focus on the explanation of the differences in the economic behavior and outcomes in the context of 19th century racial debate. Our specific aim is to answer the following two key questions: Do classical economists support the idea of human equality? Is there racism in their economic analysis?
