Le temps de la "Grande Couronne d’Aragon" du roi Pierre le Catholique: à propos de deux documents relatifs à l’abbaye de Poblet (février et septembre 1213)

Abstract

Esta contribución está dedicada al análisis de dos privilegios dados a la abadía cisterciense de Poblet. Estas cartas demuestran la existencia de una entidad política que tomó cuerpo y forma a lo largo del año 1213 : la Gran Corona de Aragón del rey Pedro el Católico. Después de haber descrito el contexto específico en el que se inscriben estos dos documentos, la atención se centra en la salvaguardia concedida por el soberano, en nombre de los príncipes meridionales, sobre los territorios concernidos por su decisión : el conjunto de sus tierras, incluidos los dominios occitanos. La segunda protección publicada aquí fue dada por Nuno Sanç, señor del Rosellón y Cerdaña, quien condujo hasta la Corona de Aragón los restos del ejército catalano-aragonés que venía de sufrir la derrota de Muret. Con la muerte del rey, desaparecería definitivamente el proyecto de un nuevo espacio de soberanía transpirenaica.

This article aims at analyzing two charters in favor of the Cistercian abbey of Poblet. These charters attest the existence of a political entity that took form during the year 1213 : the Great Crown of Aragon of King Peter the Catholic. After having explained the peculiar context in which these two documents are situated, our attention is brought to the protection granted by the sovereign in the name of the great southern princes, and on the territories concerned by his decision, all of his lands, Occitan domains included. The second protection published here is due to Nuño Sanchez, lord of Roussillon and Cerdagne, who led back to Aragon the survivors of the Catalan and Aragonese army that had just been defeated at Muret. With the death of the King disappeared the project of a new space of transpyrenean sovereignty.

Zwei Privilegien der Zisterzienserabtei Poblet sind Thema dieses Artikels und sie belegen für das Jahr 1213 die Entstehung einer neuen politischen Einheit, der « Großen Krone Aragon » des Königs Peter dem Katholischen. Die Autoren interessieren sich für den besonderen Kontext beider Dokumente und der besonderen Freiheit, die der Prinz im Namen aller Großen des Südens den betroffenen Gütern der Abtei gewährte. Alle Ländereien, inklusive die im okzitanisch sprechenden Teil des Königreiches waren davon betroffen. Die zweite Urkunde stammt von Nuño Sanchez, dem Herrn des Roussillon und der Cerdagne, der die Überlebenden der katalonisch-aragonesischen Armee nach der Niederlage von Muret zurück nach Aragon brachte. Mit dem Tod des Königs verschwand auch endgültig das Projekt eines neuen, souveränen Herrschaftsgebietes beiderseits der Pyrenäen.
