Los confines occidentales del Imperio Aqueménida : el Egeo septentrional durante el periodo del dominio persa

Abstract

En esta Tesis, “Los confines occidentales del Imperio Aqueménida. El Egeoseptentrional durante el periodo del dominio persa” se examina el norte del Egeo entrefinales del siglo VI a. C. y las primeras décadas del s. V a. C., es decir, durante la épocadel dominio persa en la región. Esta tesis está dividida en varias partes: una primera parte de introducción, donde se presenta la justificación y metodología de este estudio; cuatro capítulos de contenido que versan el primero sobre la historiografía y el territorio del norte del Egeo (Tracia y Macedonia); el segundo, sobre las campañas persas de Darío y Jerjes; un tercero, sobre la administración y organización persa en la región y un cuarto, dedicado a la interpretación de la cultura material asociada a los persas en Europa. A continuación, se presenta una conclusión y varios anexos: mapas, tablas, figuras y un anexo con un catálogo de materiales. This Thesis, "The westernmost limits of the Achaemenid Empire. The northernAegean during the period of Persian rule" examines the northern Aegean between the end of the 6th c. BC and the first decades of the 5th c. BC, that is to say, during the time of the Persian rule of the region. The Thesis is divided into several parts: a first part of introduction, where we present the justification and methodology of this study; four separate chapters (1-4) of content, the first dealing with historiography and the territory of the northern Aegean (Thrace and Macedonia); the second about the Persian campaigns of Darius and Xerxes; a third, about the Persian administration and organization in the region and a fourth, dedicated to the interpretation of the material culture associated with the Persians in Europe.
