Abstract
In recent years, thanks to research in Art and Health, the role of the Arts in the humanization of the hospital, for the well-being and emotional support of hospitalized children and adolescents has been recognized. This research aims to identify possible benefits of artistic practice in the connection with oneself and with the outside world. Through a case study, whose purpose is to analyze the written and drawn results of the participating children, the interaction between the emotional and the natural environment is observed with a qualitative approach. The importance of art education, and its impact in the health field, can be highlighted by observing the emotions expressed in the creations, within the Emotional Landscape activity proposed. This study can serve as a basis for future projects deepening the theme of openness to other environments through emotional expression and textual and visual creation, for the emergence of new meanings and the possibility of projection in desired horizons. This work demonstrates the efficiency of contact with art and specifically of artistic practice in pediatrics and psychiatry, in terms of emotional expression and connection to the outside world.
