Abstract

Despite the considerable practical significance of implementing green public procurement in the museum sector, this topic remains largely unexplored in the literature. To address this gap, we conducted an online questionnaire survey of museum managers in the Czech Republic. The survey aimed to explore their attitudes and perceptions of green public procurement and paid particular attention to the motivational factors of education, training, and information sharing. The survey included questions related to the usefulness of and prior experience with green public procurement, and preferences for cheaper or greener contracts. We used path analysis to identify direct and indirect relationships between variables. Contrary to previous literature, we find that sharing experiences is a more critical factor in shaping managers’ attitudes towards green public procurement than education and training.
