Abstract
This article reviews the phenomenon of youth prolongation currently faced by numerous young people, in order to realize how the problems derived from this are understood by Spanish youngsters, and its socio-existential aftermaths. To reach so, this paper analyzes nineteen personal interviews and three discussion groups carried out during 2018 and 2019, to Spanish youngsters from ages 25 to 35 in a precarious situation. The results aim at a widespread understanding of social problems from an individualization viewpoint, alongside a normalization of labor precarity in their narratives. The discussion presented here examines the present attitudes displayed by young individuals due to their sense of being trapped in impassable presents. We examine the temporary mismatches experimented by the youngsters in their biographies, caused by difficulties to handle their transitional events. Finally, we stress the role of supports as everyday shock-absorbers of precarity-related problems
