Abstract
La Exhortatio poenitendi, el Lamentum poenitentiae y la Oratio pro correptione uitae son tres obras latinas tardías anónimas falsamente atribuidas, primero, a Isidoro de Sevilla y, posteriormente, a un segundo obispo visigodo: Sisberto de Toledo. Su tradición manuscrita conservada supera la treintena de testimonios, escritos entre los ss. IX y XVI. Con todo, antiguos catálogos e inventarios dan noticia de otros manuscritos medievales y humanísticos, hoy desaparecidos, que contenían una o varias de las obras. En el presente trabajo ofrecemos un estudio de tales testimonios desaparecidos. Las evidencias de las noticias existentes sobre ellos, combinadas con el conocimiento de los códices supervivientes y de sus relaciones, nos permiten ubicar buena parte de estos códices perdidos en el stemma y la historia de la tradición de estas obras, así como valorar su pérdida en lo que respecta tanto a la edición del texto como a la historia de su transmisión en el Medievo.
Three late Latin Anonymous Works (the Exhortatio poenitendi, the Lamentum poenitentiae and the Oratio procorreptioneuitae) have been wrongly attributed toIsidore of Seville and, in the 20thcentury ,to a later Visigothic bishop :Sisbert of Toledo. They are transmitted in more tan thirty manuscripts, written between the 9th and 16thcenturies. However, mediaeval catalogues also attest the existence of further lost manuscripts transmitting at least one of these works.This paper deals with these lost textual witnesses. Evidence provided by the extanttradition as well as by the information available about these missing manuscripts sheds light on their place in the history of this corpus and its stemma codicum.
