Abstract
This study provides a new cartographic framework for a geologically complex region in the SW Iberian Massif (central-east Portugal). We have redefined lithological ensembles and clarified structural relationships between rock types (unconformities and faults). This has led to re-interpreting some lithological contacts in the Cabeço de Vide Massif. In this work, we have also mapped new structures, such as folds and shear zones. The resulting map provides an updated interpretation of the region's subsurface structure and tectonic history based on rock type recognition and structural data. These findings significantly enhance our understanding of the Variscan and Cadomian orogenies in the Ossa-Morena Zone.
