Existe escasa evidencia acerca del impacto de las actuales recomendaciones sobre la utilización del tratamiento antitrombótico durante el periodo perioperatorio y periprocedimiento en el «mundo real». Los objetivos de este estudio fueron analizar la utilización de los fármacos antitrombóticos en una población de pacientes que van a someterse a una intervención quirúrgica o procedimiento invasivo en España, así como evaluar el impacto que tiene un seguimiento inadecuado de las recomendaciones de abordaje del tratamiento antitrombótico sobre la incidencia de eventos adversos trombóticos y hemorrágicos, tanto en la población global como en distintos subgrupos, definidos en función del grado de riesgo trombótico y hemorrágico, tipo de procedimiento (cardiológicos invasivos), tratamiento con antiagregantes y sexo...
