Rasgos posmodernos en el neopolicial chileno : Francisco Morales y Pablo Rumel

Abstract

RESUMEN: El propósito de este artículo consiste en ilustrar algunos de los rasgos temáticos y formales que han contribuido a renovar el policial chileno desde inicios del siglo XXI. Para ello, hemos recurrido a las obras de dos escritores jóvenes que han publicado sus novelas en la última década: Francisco Morales, con «Matanzas», y Pablo Rumel, con «El secuestro» y «Secuencia Chobart». Aunque cada novela refleja los intereses y preocupaciones de su autor, existen una serie de concomitancias que permiten caracterizar el género negro más reciente, como son la fragmentación extrema, la polifonía de voces y discursos, el hibridismo genérico, la búsqueda infructuosa de una solución o verdad única y la necesidad de un lector activo que trate de encajar las piezas del puzle.ABSTRACT: The purpose of this paper is to illustrate some of the thematic and formal features that have contributed to renewing the Chilean neopolicial since the beginning of the 21st century. To do this, we have analyzed the works of two young writers who have published their novels in the last decade: Francisco Morales, with "Matanzas", and Pablo Rumel, with "El secuestro" and "Secuencia Chobart". Although each of the proposals reflects the interests and concerns of its author, there are a series of concomitants that allow us to characterize the postmodern Chilean noir genre, such as extreme fragmentation, polyphony of voices and discourses, generic hybridism, the unsuccessful search for a single solution or truth, and the need for an active reader trying to fit the pieces of the puzzle together.
