La estrategia regional de Emiratos Árabes Unidos: la construcción de una potencia media en Oriente Medio

Abstract

Emiratos Árabes Unidos (EAU) se ha convertido en uno de los actores estatales clave del actual escenario político de Oriente Medio. El Estado emiratí está desempeñando un papel relevante en los principales temas de la agenda regional. El artículo analiza las principales características y elementos en los que se fundamenta su activa política exterior, destacando los objetivos primordiales, los medios que está empleando para lograrlos y los espacios locales donde tiene un papel determinante.The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has become one of the key state actors in the current political scene in the Middle East. The Emirates state is performing a prominenet role in the main issues of the regional agenda. The article analyzes the main characteristics and elements on which its foreign policy is based, highlighting the primary objectives, the means and tools that are used to achieve them, as well as, the local spaces where this Arab government is getting to have a crucial role.
