Tratamiento informativo del movimiento migratorio sirio reciente (2012-2015) en los diarios españoles ABC y El País

Abstract

La esencia del trabajo periodístico y de su formato habitual en forma de diarios consiste en informar de los acontecimientos que ocurren, con objeto de crear un cuerpo de conocimiento en el lector y conformar una opinión individual y social, y además en generar un estado de conciencia especulativa, a través de la línea editorial, que el lector habitual del medio acepta como argumento de autoridad informativa. El presente trabajo de investigación que, como su título indica, “Tratamiento informativo del movimiento migratorio sirio reciente (2012-2015) en los diarios españoles ABC y El País”, involucra a dos de los dos diarios más influyentes de España, El País y ABC, respecto a su posición, método, intensidad y estilo, referente a uno de los hechos bélicos, sociales, políticos, migratorios e internacionales más impactantes del siglo XXI: el fenómeno migratorio sirio como efecto de una guerra civil, y luego internacional, cuyas consecuencias se han resumido en una migración masiva de más de 5,5 millones de sirios (ACNUR, 2018a), de los cuales más de 1,5 millones llegaron a Europa, y medio de millón de muertos (Centre for European Policy Studies en De Miguel, 2018)...

They were chosen two Spanish reference media, El País and ABC, because they represent different editorial lines (Córdoba-Hernández, 2009) and are aimed at a different reader spectrum. Our work consisted of analyzing, under the scientific method, information, opinion and any other expression of graphic communication, in order to elucidate the substantial differences that both media could generate on their readers of the Syrian migratory movement. Reproducing the well-known recommendation of Galileo Galilei (n.d.), the objective of our research was "to measure everything that can be measured, and what can not be measured, try to measure it". We started from the accepted empiricism that both media have an agenda-setting and a framing that differentiates them in the informative treatment, beyond the professionalism and informative veracity that all relevant media hold in their style blog, in order to identify, describe, classify and quantify the contents published between 2012 and 2015 about the Syrian migratory movement in the newspapers ABC and El País, and in order to compare and evaluate the publications of both media and the differences of the objective data according to the scientific method and to analyze and to interpret the components and inequalities of a subjective nature, seeking their objective equivalence...
