Diario, dietario y aforismo : la escritura circunstancial de los cuadernos de José Gaos

Abstract

RESUMEN: Los cuadernos donde José Gaos escribía notas día con día albergan el germen de publicaciones posteriores, pero su valor intelectual no siempre se ha reconocido. Este articulo examina las tensiones que los mantienen entre la relegación a la privacidad y la apreciación como una parte valiosa de la obra profesional. Para ello, se exploran las concepciones asociadas a tres géneros con que su autor llegó a vincularlos: el diario, el dietario y el aforismo. La confrontación de estas categorías teóricas con la práctica que Gaos llevó a cabo en sus cuadernos destaca aspectos problemáticos en las definiciones genéricas y complementa el retrato del quehacer del filósofo.ABSTRACT: The notebooks where José Gaos wrote notes day by day harbor the seeds of later publications, but their intellectual value has not always been recognized. This article examines the tensions between relegation to privacy and appreciation as a valuable part of professional work. To do this, the conceptions associated with three genres with which the author came to link them are explored: the diary, the diary and the aphorism. The confrontation of these theoretical categories with the practice that Gaos carried out in his notebooks highlights problematic aspects in the generic definitions and complements the portrait of the philosopher’s work.
