La presbicia, una condición relacionada con la edad que reduce la capacidad de enfocar objetos cercanos, es habitualmente corregida mediante lentes de contacto multifocales (Multifocal Contact Lenses, MCL).Si bien las MCL ofrecen una alternativa conveniente a las gafas, muchos usuarios manifiestan insatisfacción debido a la comodidad, la calidad de visión y la adaptabilidad. A pesar del creciente uso de instrumentos de resultados percibidos por los pacientes (Patient Reported Outcomes, PRO) para evaluar ayudas visuales, todavía no existe una herramienta estandarizada y confiable que capture la experiencia completa del paciente y su satisfacción con el rendimiento de las MCL.
