La producción dramática de María Teresa León : de los años treinta al exilio en Roma

Abstract

La presente tesis doctoral estudia la producción dramática de María Teresa León (1903-1988), desde las primeras contribuciones en prensa durante los últimos años de la década de 1920 hasta la reescritura de algunas obras dramáticas durante su exilio en Roma. Para desarrollar este trabajo se han planteado tres objetivos generales: primero, analizar la influencia de las corrientes escénicas europeas ―en concreto, de la alemana y la rusa― y españolas en la conformación del pensamiento dramático de María Teresa León; segundo, profundizar en el estudio de su producción dramática para determinar el impacto de las dramaturgias europeas en sus composiciones y detallar los aspectos significativos de sus textos; tercero, aunar en un mismo trabajo el análisis de su pensamiento teatral con el estudio de sus obras dramáticas y su participación en proyectos teatrales para llevar a cabo una investigación que abarque la dedicación de la autora al género dramático...The present PhD thesis studies the dramatic production of María Teresa León (1903-1988), from the first contributions to the press during the late 1920s to the rewriting of some of her literary pieces during her exile in Rome.In order to develop this thesis, three main aims have been proposed. First, to analyse the influence of European scenic trends —more specifically, German and Russian—as well as the Spanish currents, in relation to the conformation of María Teresa León’s dramatic mindset. Second, to delve into the study of her dramatic production in order to determine the impact of European dramaturgies in her literary works, as well as specifying the most significant aspects of her texts. Third, to encompass in a single essay the analysis of the author’s theatrical viewpoint along with the study of her dramatic compositions and her participation in theatrical projects, with the aim of enclosing the author’s dedication to the dramatic genre. León Goyri’s life and literary works were shaped by her passion and devotion to theatre.
