Abstract
Description
The Central Volcanic Zone [Figure 1] represent the focal point of this work. The crust influence is fundamental for explain the richness on the field of mineral resources. The intense crustal contamination occurs in the middle Miocene in correspondence with the growing up of continental crust, the evidence of the crustal contamination is reflected in the difference between andesites erupted in the same crustal segment that identified a crustal evolution in magmatic arc of Ande [ (R.B. Trumbull, 1999)].
In particular, in this study will be focus on a Quaternary strato-volcano named El Laco [Figure 2 – 3], the youngest volcano of the area and one of few formed at or close the surface.
