Las norias del valle de ricote: un patrimonio hidráulico y cultural a conservar

Abstract

Las norias hidráulicas del Valle de Ricote (sureste de España) constituyen un valioso patrimonio hidráulico, testigo del legado andalusí y de la construcción de un paisaje cultural irrigado. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar y poner en valor estas norias como elementos clave de un paisaje cultural en transformación, promoviendo su protección a través de su interpretación como patrimonio identitario vinculado a la gestión histórica del agua. Para ello se han catalogado y recogido información de cada una de estas norias, estableciendo su estado actual de conservación y las posibilidades que ofrecen como recurso básico para elaborar itinerarios didáctico-turísticos.

The norias or waterwheels of the Ricote Valley (southeast Spain) constitute a valuable hydraulic heritage, bearing witness to the Andalusian legacy and the construction of an irrigated cultural landscape. The aim of this article is to analyse and highlight the value of these waterwheels as key elements of a changing cultural landscape, promoting their protection through their interpretation as heritage linked to historical water management. To this end, information on each of these waterwheels has been catalogued and collected, establishing their current state of conservation and the possibilities they offer as a basic resource for developing educational and tourist itineraries.
