El “mundo actual” en una obra de Diana de Paco Serrano : análisis de la incomunicación en «Su tabaco, gracias» (2002)

Abstract

RESUMEN: Este artículo se centra en el estudio de una pieza breve escrita por la dramaturga Diana de Paco Serrano. A través del texto, «Su tabaco, gracias» (2002), la autora presenta, sin renunciar al humor crudo que caracteriza su teatro, el proceso de enloquecimiento de Miguel, quien sufre las consecuencias de una nueva sociedad donde los individuos ya no se escuchan. Con el teatro clásico como telón de fondo, la dramaturga presenta aquí una nueva tragedia, de carácter urbano y contemporánea en el tiempo, que habla sobre la incomunicación humana, el impacto de la tecnología y sus consecuencias sobre los individuos

ABSTRACT: The objective of this article is to study a short text written by the playwright and researcher Diana de Paco Serrano. Through the play, «Su tabaco, gracias» (2002), the author presents, without renouncing the crude humour that characterises her theatre, the process of Miguel’s madness, who suffers the consequences of a new society in which the invidious are no longer being listened to. Following the principles of Greek drama, here, the playwright presents a new model of tragedy, which is urban and contemporary, that speaks about of human miscommunication or the impact of technology and its consequences
