Abstract
El objetivo general de esta investigación es establecer un modelo de comunicación institucional de la Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) que sirva como una herramienta gerencial que permita ordenar, sistematizar y orientar las acciones de comunicación para contribuir al cumplimiento de los objetivos de la organización. La UAG es el sistema educativo privado más grande del estado de Jalisco, México, y atiende a una población de cerca de 16 mil estudiantes; han egresado de ella más de 140 mil profesionistas, de los cuales más de 18 mil son extranjeros. En promedio trabajan en la institución 2 mil colaboradores de tiempo completo y 800 de tiempo parcial. Por otro lado, la UAG es una institución importante, con gran presencia en la comunidad, y múltiples actividades de vinculación en diversos sectores, por lo que también requiere de una estrategia de comunicación institucional orientada a fortalecer su prestigio y posicionamiento en la sociedad. Lo anterior implica que existe una gran necesidad de contar con un sistema de comunicación institucional eficiente que satisfaga las necesidades de información de todos estos públicos para lograr un mayor y mejor entendimiento de la institución, así como para fortalecer el clima organizacional. The general objective of this research is to establish an institutional communication model of the Autonomous University of Guadalajara (UAG) that serves as a management tool that allows ordering, systematizing and guiding communication actions to contribute to the fulfillment of the organization's objectives.The UAG is the largest private educational system in the state of Jalisco, Mexico, and serves a population of about 16,000 students; More than 140,000 professionals have graduated from it, of which more than 18,000 are foreigners.On average, 2,000 full-time employees and eight hundred part-time employees work at the institution.On the other hand, the UAG is an important institution, with a great presence in the community, and multiple linking activities in various sectors, so it also requires an institutional communication strategy aimed at strengthening its prestige and positioning in society.The foregoing implies that there is a great need for an efficient institutional communication system that satisfies the information needs of all these audiences in order to achieve a greater and better understanding of the institution, as well as to strengthen the organizational climate.
