Abstract

Editorial del Special Issue "Dissecting the Purinergic Puzzle" (IJMS, 2021). The aim of this Special Issue was to cover the different components of the purinergic system, regarding how they contribute in a coordinated fashion to shape the final biological response. The issue includes research articles and reviews mainly focused on adenosine and nucleotide receptors in the cardiovascular and nervous systems, the two systems that have been widely approached since the beginning of the purinergic history.
