Abstract
Esta tesis titulada La danza como teatro: Segismundo, del texto al cuerpo, explora el complejo proceso creativo que transforma al personaje de Segismundo, desde su concepción en las palabras de Calderón en La vida es sueño hasta su representación en la danza. Para desarrollar una coreografía basada en uno de sus célebres monólogos, es esencial estudiar tanto el contexto inmediato del personaje que incluye la obra La vida es sueño, la figura de Calderón y la danza barroca como un contexto más amplio y remoto, abarcando la relación entre danza, literatura y teatro principalmente en los ballets románticos y ballets inspirados en las obras de William Shakespeare. Desde este conocimiento, la tesis procede a un análisis dramatológico del personaje y su posterior traducción al lenguaje coreográfico. La investigación no solo desglosa y analiza las etapas clave de esta transición, sino que también explora la creación artística como un fenómeno integral y multifacético, abordando la danza como una disciplina teatral en sí misma. This thesis, entitled La danza como teatro: Segismundo, del texto al cuerpo, explores the complex creative process that transforms the character of Segismundo, from his conception in Calderón's words in La vida es sueño to his representation in dance. In order to develop a choreography based on one of his famous monologues, it is essential to study both the immediate context of the character, which includes the play La vida es sueño, the figure of Calderón and baroque dance, and a wider and more remote context, encompassing the relationship between dance, literature and theatre, mainly in the romantic ballets and ballets inspired by the works of William Shakespeare. From this knowledge, the thesis proceeds to a dramatological analysis of the character and its subsequent translation into choreographic language. The research not only breaks down and analyses the key stages of this transition, but also explores artistic creation as an integral and multifaceted phenomenon, approaching dance as a theatrical discipline in its own right.
