Abstract
The study of international financial cartography can be relevant for various strategic fields, ranging from understanding the spatial inequalities caused by the logic of global investment, to analyses in terms of financial intelligence that seek to safeguard the interests of this phenomenon in terms of national security. Synthesis. The thesis pursues three main objectives. The first is to develop an approximation to the cartography of international capital movements. It´s considered that the spatial distribution of financial flows is not random. Its operation responds to a logic, where the differences between territories play a central role. The second is to determine the set of location factors that make up international financial cartography: if capital moves under this logic, it will be necessary to determine its causality. The third objective is to analyse the impact of these flows on the territory; and for this, one of its multiple effects has been selected: the relationship between geopolitics and international financial flows. The results obtained comprise six case studies: two local, two regional and two global. Together with these, a state of the art is presented with the most relevant results of other investigations in this field...
