El encéfalo de los animales en 3D (primera parte)

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es hacer modelos del encéfalo en 3D en las especies de elección, perro y rata. Estos modelos se han llevado a cabo a partir de secciones encefálicas sin teñir, teñidas con técnicas histológicas y resonancias magnéticas. En estas secciones encefálicas se han identificado estructuras de interés. Esta información se ha utilizado para hacer un atlas 2D de cada una de las especies. Por último, del material tridimensional se han realizado impresiones 3D, fundamentalmente dirigidas al estudio de la neuroanatomía por estudiantes de los Grados en veterinaria y Ciencias Biológicas.The goal of this project is to obtain 3D models of the brain in the species of choice, dog and rat. These models proceed from unstained brain sections, stained sections with histological techniques and magnetic resonance imaging. Structures of interest have been identified in these brain sections. This information has been used to make a 2D atlas of each of the species. Finally, 3D impressions have been made of the three-dimensional material, fundamentally aimed at the study of neuroanatomy by students of the Degrees in Veterinary Medicine and Biological Sciences.
