La banalidad del mal: irresponsabilidad de la demanda de prostitución frente a la explotación sexual

Abstract

Este artículo presenta los resultados de una investigación cualitativa en la que se han realizado entrevistas en profundidad a hombres consumidores de prostitución femenina, para conocer sus percepciones sobre la trata de mujeres con fines de explotación sexual. En los resultados se expone que los discursos de los entrevistados se ubican entre quienes reconocen la existencia de la trata pero no se relacionan directamente con ella porque diferencian entre prostitución libre y forzada; y quienes tienen un discurso negacionista y niegan la existencia de la trata.This article gathers the results of a qualitative research in which in-depth interviews have been carried out with male consumers of female prostitution, in order to know their perceptions of trafficking in women for the purpose of sexual exploitation. The results show that the discourses of the interviewees can be sumarized in two groups: on one hand, those who recognize the existence of trafficking but are not directly related to it because they differentiate between free and forced prostitution; and those who deny the existence of trafficking.
