Abstract

La relación de las actividades de caza con la diversidad biológica es enorme, por ello la gestión y planificación de las mismas, así como su desarrollo racional y ordenado, es indispensable para garantizar la sostenibilidad y el equilibrio del patrimonio cinegético. Los principales problemas que se encuentran en esta actividad y que afectan a la fauna silvestre, son el furtivismo; mal uso de cerramientos cinegéticos; incorrecta gestión del terreno cinegético; la introducción de especies exóticas y asilvestradas; y el uso de venenos, lazos, cepos y otros métodos no selectivos. Asimismo, la caza es una actividad con repercusiones en la naturaleza, no solo sobre su fauna, sino también sobre muchos otros elementos que integran el medio ambiente: la flora, el territorio o la riqueza paisajista, todos ellos merecedores de una adecuada protección. De acuerdo con su naturaleza todos ellos integran el patrimonio natural que se debe conservar y mejorar para transmitirlo a las generaciones futuras, por lo que se debe buscar siempre el desarrollo sostenible en la regulación y gestión de esta actividad como recurso. Relationship between hunting activities and biodiversity is huge, so the management, planning and rational development is essential to ensure the sustainability and balance of the hunting heritage. The main problems encountered in the hunting activity are poaching; incorrect use of hunting enclosures; incorrect management on hunting estates; the introduction of exotic and feral species; and the use of poisons, snare traps, clamps and other non-selective methods. Hunting is an activity with nature implications and not only wildlife. It has effects on many other elements on the environment: the flora, landscape or territory wealth. All this elements deserve the adequate protection according to their nature, through a sustainable development, as part of the natural heritage that must be preserved and improved to transmit it to future generations. The hunting resources and its habitat belong to everybody, so this activity should be managed by the Administration in a rational and orderly way, seeking the necessary conditions for the maintenance and preservation of hunting heritage. The hunt is an exclusive competence of the Autonomous Communities, the result of exercising their autonomy and which finds its legitimacy in the framework of the Spanish Constitution of 1978, Art. 148.1.11º, but is transversely affected by state laws, as the Law 1/1970, of 4 April, de caza and Law 42/2007 of 13 December of Patrimonio Natural y la Biodiversidad, and the different EU and international standards on the protection of wildlife...
