Viaje historiográfico por la figura política de Alfonso XIII

Abstract

Este trabajo examina el tratamiento que la historiografía ha dado a la figura política del rey Alfonso XIII desde finales de la década de 1960. Los cambios en dicho tratamiento, cuyo punto de inflexión se puede situar en el año 2002, cuando tiene lugar el centenario del inicio de su reinado, han dado como resultado nuevos puntos de vista que dejan a un lado el personalismo que rodeaba a dicha figura regia, y abren nuevos caminos que en los cuales se hallan embarcados los investigadores en el momento actual. Entre los nuevos paradigmas que han ayudado a transformar las investigaciones cabe citar las nuevas y formas de entender el género biográfico y la historia política.

This work examines the way historiography has dealt with the political figure of the Spanish king Alfonso XIII since the end of the 1960s. The changes in his treatment, whose turning point may be placed in the year 2002, when the celebration of centenary of the beginning of reign takes place, have resulted in new viewpoints which leave aside a view exclusively centered upon his royal figure, and opened up new paths that researchers are clearing today. Among the new paradigms that have helped transform research may be mentioned the updated forms to understand the biographic genre and the political history.
