Abstract
Contemporary societies are traversing, since the 70s, profound changes in their forms of self-perception and movement. One of the paradigmatic transformations befalls in the field of practical philosophy. Ethics, formerly a discipline that was limited to harbor extra-worldly debates of professional philosophers, begins to filter into social reality and to be a fundamental component in decision-making in different spheres of action. However, hardly any analysis has been carried out that understands the philosophical field of similarities in which the emergence of applied ethic arises. This will be precisely the purpose of the research: re-examining, systematic and rigorously, the philosophical idea of applied ethic, from the social and philosophical conditions of possibility that engendered applied ethic to a theoretical reconstruction of its foundations in dialogue with Adela Cortina´s proposal, critical hermeneutics.
