Abstract
Las roturas del manguito rotador afectan aproximadamente al 30% de la población mayor de 60 años, muchas de ellas siendo sintomáticas. El tratamiento quirúrgico por vía artroscópica de estas lesiones es el tratamiento más utilizado. Sin embargo, a pesar de las mejoras en las técnicas de reparación de las lesiones del manguito rotador, el índice de rerroturas continúa siendo muy alto, con porcentajes que oscilan entre el 11 y el 94% . Por este motivo, las investigaciones se encaminan a mejorar el proceso de curación biológica mediante diferentes alternativas como puede ser el uso de células madre mesenquimales (MSCs). El avance permanente de la investigación científica y el uso acrecentado de este tipo de terapias, ha creado la necesidad de imponer unas normativas que controlen y estabilicen el uso de los Medicamentos de Terapia Celular de forma segura y eficaz...

However, despite improvements in rotator cuff injury repair techniques, the rate of rerupture continues to be very high, with percentages ranging from 11 to 94%.
