Abstract
El mercado de tabacos presenta unas características peculiares con respecto otros sectores, debido a la nocividad del producto, que ha llevado al Estado a imponer una alta regulación en toda la fase de producción. En los últimos años, parece que este sector se ha encontrado con una demanda decreciente, con lo que cabría de esperar grandes cambios en la composición del mismo. Sin embargo, esto no ha sido así, por lo que en este trabajo se procederá a analizar meticulosamente la situación de toda la cadena de producción, junto con los análisis de competencia y poder de mercado que se consideren relevantes, para dar respuesta a la existencia o no de colusión entre los agentes oferentes del mercado.
The tobacco market presents quirky characteristics with respect to other sectors due to the harmfulness of the product and that has led the State to impose high regulation throughout the production phase. In recent years, it seems that this sector has found itself with a decreasing demand, with which great changes in its composition could be expected. However, this has not been the case, so in this work we will proceed to meticulously analyze the situation of the entire production chain together with the analysis of competition and market power that are considered relevant to respond to the existence or not of collusion between the bidding agents of the market.
