La autora española Carmen Martín Gaite (1925-2000) estaba muy interesada en la comunicación humana. Prueba de ello son sus teorías sobre la comunicación y el interlocutor, que la escritora ha dejado como legado al lector tanto en sus ensayos y artículos, como en su obra narrativa a través dela interacción entre el autor y el lector, y entre los personajes. Esta tesis doctoral, titulada El arte de la comunicación: un análisis de discurso de tres novelas de Carmen Martín Gaite, tiene como objeto de estudio examinar la interacción comunicativa entre el autor y el lector, así como la construcción discursiva del sentido de diálogo a partir de la interacción de los personajes, en tres novelas de Martín Gaite: Entre visillos (1958), Retahílas (1974) y El cuarto de atrás (1978)...

The issue of human communication was of great interest to the Spanish author Carmen Martín Gaite. This is evidenced by her theories on communication and the interlocutor that she developed in her essays and articles, as well as in her narrative work through the communicative interaction between the author and the reader, and between the characters.The object of study of this doctoral thesis, entitled: The art of communication: a discourse analysis of three novels by Carmen MartínGaite, is to examine author-reader communicative interaction, and to study the discursive construction of the meaning of dialogue through the communicative interaction of the characters in three novels by Martín Gaite: Entre visillos (1958), Retahílas (1974) y El cuarto de atrás (1978)...
