Trabajo de Fin de Grado. «La vida. Instrucciones de uso»

Abstract

"La vida. Instrucciones de uso" (1978), título original "La vie mode d'emploi", es un libro escrito por Georges Perec y el tema de mi Trabajo de Fin de Grado supervisado por Ángel Sesma para la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. La elección de este libro viene dada por la gran cantidad de información que podemos encontrar en éste, tratándose así de una historia formada por historias que transcurren en un edificio de viviendas en la calle Simon-Crubellier 11, en París, Francia. El autor narra en un estilo muy particular los sucesos ocurridos, tanto en el presente como en el pasado, de sus habitantes desde su construcción, además de crear, a través de la propia organización por capítulos de la historia, una serie de puzzles y esquemas que conectan la información de personajes, hechos y objetos. Tras leer cuidadosamente la novela y clasificar la información en varios grupos, he creado ilustraciones, mapas y esquemas que expliquen del libro sin perder, no obstante, la complejidad y el nivel de detalle que presenta al lector. "La vida. Instrucciones de uso" (1978), original "La vie mode d'emploi", "Life: a user's manual" in English, is the title of the book by Georges Perec and the subject of my Bachelor Thesis, supervised by Ángel Sesma. I chose this book because it is a story formed by multiple stories that took place in a building located in the imaginary road of Simon-Crubellier 11, in the heart of Paris, France. The author narrates, in a particular style (using the building and its 100 rooms as a layout on which he creates a pattern to tell the life of the past or present inhabitants) every single detail of the rooms, the relationship among the people living there and when the events took place. After carefully reading and classifying the information from the book, I created illustrations, maps and schemes to explain the book without losing the complexity and the levels of detail it offers to the reader.
