Michel Foucault, pensador del poder

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es poner de manifiesto el papel que juega el concepto de poder en la ontología crítica del yo y del presente que firma Michel Foucault. No se trata de elaborar una teoría general del poder, sino de realizar una interpretación (en el sentido de Deleuze), es decir, dilucidar sus elementos originales a la luz de nuestro propio criterio. Para ello, nos basaremos fundamentalmente en la fase genealógica del pensador francés, esto es, el período que comienza con El orden del discurso (1970) y que abarca toda la década de los setenta. En la parte final, analizamos la actualidad de la visión de Foucault, en debate con otros autores contemporáneos.

The purpose of this work is revealing the role that the concept of power plays in the critical ontology of the self and the present that Michael Foucault signs. It is not about elaborating a general theory of power, it is about making an interpretation (in the sense of Deleuze), in other words, elucidate his original elements to light of our own criterion. To do this, we will rely fundamentally on the genealogical base of the French thinker, this is, the period that begins with The order of discourse (1970) and that covers the entire decade of the seventies. In the end, we analize the current Foucault’s vision, in debate with other contemporary authors.
