Francisco Torrón Durán. Un recorrido por su labor artística y supuesta en valor dentro de la plástica española contemporánea del siglo XX y principios del actual

Abstract

Para entender el objeto de esta tesis, primeramente, se debe tener un enfoque global de lo que se presenta en el contenido. A través de su lectura, queremos dar a conocer la figura de Francisco Torrón Durán (La Coruña, 1934 – Madrid, 2020) y su representación en el ámbito artístico y cultural de una gran parte del siglo XX y principios del actual. Este proyecto recoge su dilatado trabajo como restaurador en el Patrimonio Nacional y su producción artística. Francisco Torrón Durán es un artista de notoria importancia por el legado que ha dejado. Compaginó su vida como pintor y escultor junto con la de restaurador del Patrimonio Nacional en el Palacio Real de Madrid, donde permaneció desde el año 1961 hasta 1997.Restauró todo tipo de obras de arte, desde esculturas de madera policromada del siglo XV hasta frescos de Lucas Jordán del Monasterio de El Escorial.
