Abstract
This paper inquires into the Marxian conception of crises in capi-talism, which holds that crises are derived necessarily from the very process of capitalist production. We also differentiate between this conception and that of traditional Marxism, countering the interpretation of crises as the capitalist system’s devices of permanence with the theory of collapse, which establishes that the crises inevitably end in the economic breakdown of capitalism.
