Abstract
The literary attraction which exists towards the legendary Don Juan Tenorio has been obvious since the last years of XIX century, when the most famous writers of this moment started using the parody of this character to create theirs in their own novels. Jacinto Octavio Picón is a good example of it, because it is really easy to find donjuanism in his narrative. Picón plays with the characters of theirs novels and tales, in which the woman has a very important role in the myth’s degradation. This academic work studies the characteristics of donjuanism in compare to the literary myth and the leadership of the woman in the decimononic writer’s narrative
