Abstract
Objectives: The aim of this doctoral thesis is to compare the concordance between a portable electromyography and electrocardiography device and polysomnography for the sleep bruxism assessment in a non-apneic and apneic population, analyzing manually and automatically the portable device records. As specific objective, to investigate the possible relationship between sleep bruxism and obstructive sleep apnea through polysomnography recordings and stablish the criteria for concurrent muscle activity between sleep bruxism and sleep apnea analysis. In addition, the diagnostic performance of the clinical evaluation of sleep bruxism versus polysomnography will be analyzed.
