Presencia india en la literatura mexicana contemporánea

Abstract

La presente tesis doctoral pretende demostrar la influencia del arte de India en la literatura mexicana contemporánea. Numerosos escritores mexicanos sintieron un gran interés por la cultura, y entre ellos, algunos de los más importantes para este estudio serán Octavio Paz y Elsa Cross. Respecto al primero, se ha escrito ya bastante sobre su influencia de la filosofía oriental y budista en su literatura, pero lo que este estudio desea demostrar es el reflejo del arte indio en su poética, para lo que he señalado cada uno de sus textos en los que aparecen referencias a distintas obras de arte indio, ya sean templos, pinturas, relieves o muestras iconográficas de divinidades. En el trabajo, hay un primer apartado en el que se analiza cómo influyó India en autores contemporáneos anteriores a Paz, como Efrén Rebolledo, Alfonso Reyes, José Juan Tablada, Daniel Cosío Villegas, Vasconcelos, Amado Nervo y Rubén Darío entre otros, señalando algunos de los poemas de los mismos en los que se puede apreciar esta presencia oriental. Continuaré centrándome en Octavio Paz, señalando brevemente los datos biográficos más importantes en relación con India, puesto que hay algunas experiencias vitales de gran trascendencia en la vida de Paz, que se dieron durante su contacto con India, como por ejemplo su matrimonio con Marie José...

In this work the analysis and demonstration of the influence of the East and its philosophical approach in contemporary Mexican literature arises. And in the case of some authors that are studied in this work, as Elsa Cross and Octavio Paz, it is more specifically demonstrating the presence of Indian art in his works. Octavio Paz and Elsa Cross: a comparative study of certain pillars, both artistic and philosophical Hinduism in relation to thought and literary work of Mexican authors is performed. This study will be based on the vision that both India with the intention of analyzing the iconographic aspects of these authors. One of the larger sections of the work focuses on the search for the presence of Indian art in the literary work of Octavio Paz.
