Investigación de la posición estructural del complejo de Cabo Ortegal en base a datos gravimétricos y magnetométricos

Abstract

El problema de la posición estructural del complejo de Cabo Ortegal se ha investigado analizando las anomalías gravimétricas y magnéticas que sobre él existen. De este análisis se concluye que lo más probable es que no esté enraizado y que constituya una sinforma con un espesor máximo de cinco kilómetros en su parte central. La fuerte tendencia ascendente hacia el Sureste, encontrada en la anomalía magnética fuera del complejo, puede estar relacionada con la existencia de un zócalo situado cerca de la superficie, emplazado allí quizá por el funcionamiento de la falla de Vivero.

The structural position of the Cabo Ortegal complex has been investigated by a study of their gravity and magnetic anomalies. An un-rooted model is favoured in wich a maximum depth of 5 Km. is atained in the central zone. The trend found in the magnetic anomaly, strongly increasing to the SE out of the complex, may be related with the existence of a basement near the surface, located there perhaps by the movement of the Vivero fault.
